LucaTNT
Hi everyone, I have OS X 10.6.8 running perfectly stable (64 bit) on my Asus Sabertooth X58, but network performance is poor: only ~30 mbytes/s through gigabit ethernet. I measured this speed transferring a big file from my 2010 MBP connected to the same switch. Both my Mac and the Hackintosh have OCZ Vertex 2 SSDs, so the disks aren't the bottleneck. I am currently using what I think is Realtek's driver, see attached screenshot of System Profiler. I also have a Lion 10.7.1 partition which is using a different version of the KEXT, but the performance is similar (slightly faster upstream, slightly slower downstream). I tried to use Lion's version of the kext but on SL it performes really bad in downstream, average of 8-10 MBytes/s, upstream didn't change much. Any advice? Thanks in advance, Luca Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/268290-poor-performance-realtek-rtl8110/ Share on other sites
