AMD 955 BE cpu

Asus M5A97 mobo

8gb ddr3 ram, 1600 mhz

sapphire radeon 6570 graphics card

windows 7 64 bit is installed

I am using VMware 7 workstation

My Mac OS X Snow Leopard.vmx is here: http://pastebin.com/sBuPAsZR

I keep getting this error, no matter what I do:

A virtual CPU has entered the shutdown state. This would have caused a physical machine to restart. This can be caused by an incorrect configuration of the virtual machine, a bug in the operating system or a problem in the VMware Workstation software. Press OK to restart the virtual machine or Cancel to power off the virtual machine.

When I built my pc I wasn't even thinking about installing os x.

And I didn't expect this:

I will provide any information, please ask.

I got it to work with virtual box, however all I see is this. How long does this last? Its been going for 5 minutes.

Hi,

I have the same cpu/mbo as you, although I am not sure how to fix that problem, I did have success installing 10.6.8 using VMware Workstation 8.

First I downloaded Mac OSX server 10.6 experimental vmware files, then I popped in Hazard 10.6.1/2 iso and installed with only the "AMD" checked off in the custom install options. To boot into OSX, I use darwin_snow_legacy.iso

To get up to 10.6.8, I manually downloaded the combo and installed it and then got the new kernel (search for 10.6.8 hazard update into google for kernel) and downloaded and used ##### to restore USB.

Everything is very stable, the only issue I have is the stuttering sound when using Ensoniq.

Hope that helps!
