I have been using this forum for a while, and thanks all for the help! I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 with the following spec: Intel Celeron 1.8 GHz processor 120 Gb HDD 2.5 Gb RAM Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN Broadcom Corporation BCM4401-B0 100Base-TX Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller All is running (I am typing on Os 10.5.8 as we speak), but there are a few little problems I am having.... My USB will not work unless I either have a device plugged in during boot, or if I run a kext in kext helper (does not matter which one) and I have no external monitor connection possible. If I connect an external monitor, I loose the display on both the external monitor and the laptop display. Can anyone throw any light on what would be the cause of these problems?
