Teh_R3MD0G Posted September 2, 2006 Share Posted September 2, 2006 so i finally got a new image of the Mac OS X 10.4.6 dvd and well it WORKS, well that is till the end of the installation.....when im suppose to restart. it freezzes RIGHT there. idk why it wont go farther. any ideas? and just incase it comes up, i did burn the disc on very low write speed, i made sure it was +R (NOT +RW) i made sure it would work with my system (it does) and i have tried it in a DVD drive and the same burner/drive i burned it in. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks! Image i used Mac OS X 10.4.6 GoatSecX DVD Also incase u ask, when i manually reboot, i get a message like this: DISK BOOT ERROR, INSERT DISC AND PRESS ENTER. but windows works when i go in the terminal and switch Windows to the Active. but when its mac os X as active i get that message. Rene204 Posted September 2, 2006 Share Posted September 2, 2006 Have a look in Search Forum, there is a kernel-hack to enable Restart. You have to Edit the Kernel with a Hexeditor. It works.
