I've installed recently the MAC OS X Lion build 11A511 on the VMWare Workstation 7.1.3, and I can play videos whether on youtube or locally with VLC Media Player, but I only hear the sound, the video in completely black. I've tried installing Adobe Flash Player and VMsvga2_v1.2.3_Common_Installer.pkg but remains the same.

Any idea?

Try this.

- Browse to youtube and click on a video.

- Right mouse click on the black area where the video should be playing, choose Settings in the pop-up menu.

- Uncheck "Enable hardware acceleration" and click Close.

Reload the page.

Now it works watching youtube videos, but only on Safari. How can I solve it for the complete operating system (i.e. watch downloaded videos with VLC o iTunes)?

Well, there are reports that VlC also have problem to play flv, avi video files correctly on Lion. Think you may could turn to this wiki: http://how-to.wikia.com/wiki/How_to_Play_A...n_Mac_OS_X_Lion

Might can do some help for you :P
