Im currently experiencing random "jumping" with my mouse pointer. When moving the mouse, it works fine, then sometimes randomly jumps from position to position. After a while, it settles back down.

It feels like os x suddenly set the pointer acceleration to the highest point possible, then back to the normal position.

This isn't upstreamuserclient, I have a disabler for that.

Im using 10.6.8, but it happened in 10.6.2 as well.

I suspect that this is also related to some of the problems Ive been having with 10.6.8.

Since I have a Nvidia Geforce 7800 GTX 256MB, which has the correct EFI Strings, I added the strings to the boot plist. It was all fine and dandy until I decided to upgrade to 10.6.8.

Occasionally, on startup, the screen will flash different distored colors, then return to normal. This is the sign that my mouse won't work, as after the distored colors return to normal, the mouse pointer acceleration is increased to the highest point possible (again), and theirs no way I can use my computer like that.

Generally, my mouse is also much less accurate than in other OSes as well, as the pointer sometimes speeds up by a little bit, occasionally.

I don't know if this is related to the fact that im using a wireless mouse, but Im going to try a PS/2 one in a sec...

Try linking your mouse to other computer with other OS to see if the problem is on your mouse or in the system.

Also try plugin an usb mouse to your hack. If the USB mouse works fine then the problem may be on the mouse or in the bluetooth driver.

I have been using a magic mouse (which is bluetooth) for 1 year and I have no problem to report.

Sorry for the bump, but no use re-creating an already reported problem.

I have the same issue, which is unrelated to AppleUpstreamUserClient as that has been removed.

It doesn't happen often, but it's annoying. Basically, you will randomly have your mouse jump a few inches in the direction you were scrolling and then it's fine again.
