Unable To Update Snow Leopard

Hey for 3 days now i have been trying to solve this problem but i just cant get it. I start by loading a retail version of SL using nawcom's boot cd and all goes extremely well and i can boot without the disk after the install. However, after i update to any version after 10.6.3 I am unable to boot as the system freezes. Ive uploaded a picture of the screen i get stuck at in hopes someone can help me solve this problem. I have loaded SL on my desktop no problem using the same method and updated to 10.6.8. Im trying this on a Laptop, specifically the HP Pavillion DM4-1250CA. This laptop has an I5 processor with bios version Insyde F.26. If there is any other hardware specs i need to give please let me know, also how i can get this information. I literally feel like pulling my hair out and my end goal is to get lion on this machine ive also tried using [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url]+[url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] method By TonyMac and that gave me the same results. I can however, boot into 10.6.8 if i use nawcom's boot cd to boot. Thanks for taking a look at this!
