Note: I'd like to start by first saying the 435MT series generally all look the same

but the parts varied a bit, so your mileage may vary, my MT 435 has the Radeon 4850 w/ Dual-Ports.

 

Side Note: You want to plug your Monitor into the left radeon port (facing both slots), The graphics portion fixes the error where Lion considers a VGA monitor to be plugged in at the same time as your monitor, This method assigns VGA to the right port.

VMWare Short Note

I'm not going to talk about the creation of an OSX VMware machine, just what to do when you have one made.

This guide still applies to people who do not use VMWare, however at the time I decided to attempt this

I did not have access to physical OSX.

Prep-Work

---------------

 

NOTICE: Lion does not like the 4850, If you don't use GraphicsEnabler.

 

1. Open Disk Utility, Select the USB you plan to use to Install OSX Lion.

 

2. Format the USB with 1 GUID Partition, name it something you will remember.

 

3. Use MyHack to Install an Image of Retail Lion onto your USB.

 

4. After MyHack finishes, browse to the 'Extra' folder that is now inside of your USB stick.

 

5. Open 'Extensions' and place the kexts I've uploaded into it.

 

6. Reboot your PC and Boot from USB.

 

7. Select your USB partition and type (with no 's) 'GraphicsEnabler=Yes' and hit enter.

 

8. Wait 5-10 minutes and you should be inside of the installer.

Installation

1. Open Disk Utility.

 

2. Format the HDD you plan to install Lion to as a GUID Partition.

 

3. Install Lion.

 

4. After reboot, boot your Lion Partition from your install USB, since it has the required Kexts.

Post Install

---------------

 

1. Run Myhack on your OSX Partition ( Marked by a '/' )

 

2. Install 'Chameleon + Extras'

 

3. When the prompt arrives, Select 'Generic' Extras.

 

4. After Chameleon asks you to reboot, do not do it, open your USB drive.

 

5. Copy all the Kext in your USB drives Extra->Extensions folder.

 

6. Open your computer by using 'Go', in Finder.

 

7. Open your OSX partition, go to Extra-> Extensions, Paste all of the next you've copied off USB into this

 

8. Now go back to find Org.Chameleon.Boot.Plist, It is found in the 'Extra' Folder next to 'Extensions' on your partition.

 

9. Right Click on it and select 'Get Info'

 

10. Click the Lock bellow to allow changes, and give yourself 'Read & Write' privileges.

 

11. add the following to the content Above 'Timeout'

 

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>

<string>Yes</string>

 

12. Run Kext Utility once.

 

13. Reboot and just start OSX by hitting enter.

 

14. Adjust your resolution to whatever by using System Preferences.

 

15. Enjoy OSX. ;)

I didn't bother with checking the situation of Wired Internet, since I don't use it.

If you're looking for a wireless adapter that will work, I use Belkin F7D1101 V1.
