Sailfish
Hi All, I have a system with WinXP, Tiger 10.4.11 and Snow Leopard 10.6.8 each running on it's own drive. I am trying to multi-boot from Chameleon RC5 which is on the SL drive. Each boots correctly on its own with Snow Leopard booting through Chameleon. All of the OS's show correctly in Chameleon at start up however neither Tiger nor XP will boot when selected. Tiger appears to try to start with the SL graphics and then fails. XP just goes to a flashing cursor. Is there a way to tweak this into submission or is there a quicker more elegant solution to the problem? dmazar
I do not know for Tiger, but it seems that WinXP requires to be booted from it's own drive. One possible solution: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=120&t=25831 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/264372-help-setting-chameleon-rc5-multiboot/#findComment-1727616 Share on other sites
Sailfish
Thank you dmazer, I found the F11 key to Bios switch this which is not elegant but will do the trick for the time being. This used to boot via the chain 0 method with just WinXP and Tiger. I will try a blend of chain 0 and your suggestion and see if I can't get something to happen. I was hoping to edit the boot of chimera and make a truly elegant solution. That will take some time I am afraid.
