l2paladin Posted July 30, 2011 Share Posted July 30, 2011 Greetings, I have spent several weeks, and 100+ OS X installs getting my hackintosh working almost perfectly. My last? big hurdle is the need to boot with the cpus=1 boot flag. I have an OS X 10.7 install, that was upgraded from a vanilla 10.6 + [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] install. This is running on a Dell XPS 630i. I have researched a lot and there is different information about the boot flag issue from DSDT, to kernel, to kexts, etc. If anyone can provide any insight to this, I would be most thankful. I do have system information, CPU-Z screen caps, etc, etc available but I don't want to create information overload on my initial post. Thank you in advance for any/all help.
