Hi guys, I'm kinda getting a headache installing snow leopard .. Now I got Snow leopard working fully with everything , Sound , Network , Even full Graphics with my 4350 HD .. Now the problem is , How do I dual boot with windows 8 , Because I already tried EasyBCD but that doesn't use the same bootloader I need for my Snow leopard partition to work with my graphics card .. I need to use a special kind of bootloader so I can use my 4350 HD and also use it by DVI ..

My question is , How do I get Both windows 8 and Snow leopard dual booted with the bootloader I need in order for my graphic card to work , Please I REALLY Need a QUICK responce

In summary : How do I use a regular Chameleon/Myhack bootloader instead of using the chameleon in the EASYBCD option ..

--- EDIT ---

The bootloader I'm trying to use is "PC_EFI_10.6" .. It's in the ATI 4350HD thread

Hi,

it depends on the fact if you have Win7 installed already or it is only your plan.

(You do not have Windows 8 you meant 7, right? :ninja: )

When I've installed Snow after the Windows7, the chameleon bootloader gives you an option, which OS you wish to start after pressing a F8. No problem at all.

He probably meant Windows 8 Beta, since the RTM is expected in 2012. I don'w know if the link is still valid, but I read these instructions and managed to dual boot MacOS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and Windows 7 (nothing changes for Windows 8 Beta).

I prefer my primary system being Windows 7, (MacOS is used only experimentaly) so I decided to use Windows boot loader to select between MacOS and Windows. If I select MacOS, then I see chameleon where I can also choose between MacOS or Windows, should I have changed my mind. Since the default options for EasyBCD do not do the job, you have to do some modifications (see the guide above) which I currently don't remember. I have detailed them in older posts, do some search.

The bad thing with dual booting is that if you damage one OS and try to fix it, then you will probably loss access to the other OS since the boot loader might be rewritten. So you have to make sure the boot loader is not affected after any repairs. The good thing is that you can have as much fun with MacOS as you like, but Windows will always be available when you need it.
