Hi!

My first post here, and first hackintosh build. One of my highest priority is sound level, I want the build to be very quiet.

Here is what I have so far:

Graphics

Gigabyte Radeon HD5770SL 1GB Fanless

Processor

INTEL Core i5 2500K / 3.3 GHz

Box

Fractal Design Define Mini

Mobo

GIGABYTE GA-H67MA-UD2H-B3 (micro ATX)

PSU

Seasonic X-560 560W

RAM

Corsair XMS3 8 GB 1333mhz DDR3 (2x4GB)

I read here that there were troubles with that graphics card, e.g. HDMI. While I don't think I will use HDMI, it'd feel bad to pick up a card there not everything is working.

So the question is:

What silent (or quiet) graphic card would you recommend for that build, given a budget of 150 - 230 USD?

I know I should write what I want to use it for (occasional 3D gaming, movies, a little of picture handling, programming, usual desktop stuff, hobby level music recording and mixing).

Comments highly appreciated!

Thanks waha.

Just to be sure: the card I am referring to is GV-R577SL-1GD. Is it this exact model you have?

The reason I am concerned is the experience of aleister Crowley there:

This was in January, but a confirmation of HDMI working, in any combination with other connections, would be nice.

Have you tested HDMI?
