RIPR
Hello. Recently, I've build a new computer. It has MSI P67A-C43 motherboard, Intel Core i5 2500k@4,0GHz CPU, 1600MHz 8GB Kingston RAM, Powercolor AMD 6950 2GB Graphics Card and 1TB WD-Caviar Blue HDD. I thought, that there will be no problems during the instalation, but ther were some :-/. At first, I'm unable to start installation in verbose mode, because every time I try that, computer restart itself. Dont know why... If I run normal instalation, all I see is just black screen and obviously, nothing is happening. When I use another boot disc (I've tried already Empire-efi, Hackintosh-india and others...), sometimes happens, that my fan on graphics card goes crazy and start itself on 100% (it is about 5000RPM fan, so it's very, very loud! ). But again, nothing is happening. Then I tried to install at least edited mackintosh release, iAtkos S3. I'm able to install it, but again, not boot it. There is the same problem, as I have during the instalation of retail disc. Nothing is happening and running the boot with verbose mode ends with restart of computer. I don't know, what's wrong, because I'm unable to see any error... Can anybody help me? BTW, I want to appologize for my bad english, I'm not native speaker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/262605-black-screen-during-install-of-retail-disc/ Share on other sites
RIPR
I've tried now newer version, S3 V2, but the problem is the same. Found out, that my graphics cards fan goes on maximum when the graphic enabler is set to "yes"... RIPR
Yes, I tried that guide, but still, I'm not succesful. With ##### Legacy, i got the same problem with graphics - black screen and crazy fan. With GraphicsEnabler=No, i might get further, but now I'm getting "Still waiting for root device" error and I can't fix it. I'd tried to change HDD settings in bios as in here... http://www.insanelymac.com/2009/05/still-waiting-for-root-device/ But it does not work. I'd tried even my own settings, but with no succes. Cant install any other system, then S3V2 (but I can't start it, because again problem with graphics card) Edit: And when I'm trying to instal retail lion, i got "Unable to find driver for this platform: ACPI" problem. I can not solve non of those Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/262605-black-screen-during-install-of-retail-disc/#findComment-1751200 Share on other sites
