dylan086
So i just picked a partly assembled system with a i7 970 processor and a ga-x58a-ud3 version 2.0 motherboard, my video card I believe may be the culprit in my confusion. I started by setting up a usb drive with a copy of my family edition snow leopard which worked fine. I then used kakewalk to add my motherboard info, and then selected a few different motherboard options as Rev 1.0 is the only one available for my board.(thought i would try a few other similar motherboard options but still was having problems). After changing my bios and launching the install i noticed weird video problems a lot of areas not appearing on screen and the installer is really slow like 5 minutes between steps, its now stuck at the where do you want to install mac os x screen with no drive options. As mentioned i assume its a video problem the card that came with the system is a msi geforce 210. I'm really stumped as to what may be causing this for sure, so any input would be great. Thanks! I did just try the ud7 motherboard in kakewalk and it loads fine resolution seems a little off hopefully i can get that changed when its done the install process...
