I've been reading this forum for some time, but this is my first post, because I couldn't find an answer to my problem.

A month ago or something I installed osx 10.4.6 on my laptop. Installation went perfect... Startup=OK, but after about 15 seconds (varies) it goes into 'stand-by-mode' (i think) every 1-3 seconds. Pressing a key on the keyboard gets it out of sleep. This repeats. It was possible to get through the registration stuff etc., but doing antything else is a big hassle. For the rest it looks fine: the display-resolution is OK (1280x800), both cpu's are detected, and usb-mouse is working, HD seems OK. I've tried disabling one cpu, and tried safe-mode, but this doesn't solve the problem. Also reinstallation with different install-configurations doesn't make a difference.

Anyway, I screwed up the computer, clean-installed windows again (I had a back-up...lucky!!), but want to give it another try. Does anyone know a cause/solution to the problem? Should I use a different osx-insallation-version? Would it be possible to run osx on my laptop at all??

Thanks for answering, I really hope someone can help me!!
