I'm wondering how to get my S/PDIF out working on my GA-EP45-UD3P? System Profiler detects the S/PDIF port as both input and output but system preferences and audio/midi only shows it as an input. System profiler detects the audio chipset as an 885 though gigabyte says its and 889a. Idk if that would be the problem. I'd prefer ignoring it. I'm trying to get the port enabled so i can watch movies with 5.1. The analog output works for such but i'd prefer the receiver do the decoding rather than the mac. I installed the driver from here. Any help would be great! Would it be easier to buy a small usb/firewire S/PDIF interface? I'd like to keep the analog outs so i can make a surround mix in logic and final cut.

Thanks!
