I am very interested in getting Mac as next year I will be doing a lot of video editing and music recording for a program I was accepted into. Instead of having my parent's pay 1400+ for a Mac, I was thinking of just installing OSX on the computer I currently own. It is a dell XPS 410. Has anyone successfully tried this? Also, I was wondering where I should be looking for tutorials. Will any work or are there specific ones for specific machines? Thanks.
