Can't boot into mac os after install

I'm having a problem and I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere. I installed Goatsecx 10.4.6 and it installed fine, but when I try to boot into it using acronis disc director it goes up to the black dos screen and stops there with the blinkingline. it looks like its waiting for me to enter something on the line but I cant enter anything in. I changed the partition to primary and active and that didnt work. I checked the disk in the disk utility tool in the installer and it said the disc was fine. Now acronis doesnt even see the os (not like it ever did) it sees a partition there, it has no drive letter anymore either. And now when I go into windows it doesnt even show the drive anymore. I also tried installing 10.4.4 with the 10.4.5 update from myz, but the same prob. I dunno I would appreciate some help if someone can. Oh, if it helps I'm running an amd athlon 64 3200+ on a gigabyte gak8nf9 motherboard with 2gb RAM and a 120gb samsung ide hard drive and nvidia 6600 gt 128mb video card.
