Ok here we go. I have an MSI 890FXA GD70 motherboard with an AMD 1100t processor, 6 gigs of RAM, 2 nVidia 250's.

I can boot off of nawcom's modCD just fine. No need for flags since legacy_kernel is default.

My issue is that when I attempt to use Chameleon, legacy_kernel -v flag, I get an instant reboot.

With the CD in, I get audio, video etc but I'm only getting 1024x768. No other resolutions are coming up.

What I would like is to not have to rely on the boot CD and boot into Chameleon with full resolution.

Dual video if possible.

I do not understand how to do the DSDT patching or code or plistediting or whatever, nor do I want to. I'm good, but that stuff is just greek beyond belief.

Anyone with an idea or at least an easier remedy?

Any help would be appreciated.

:gun:

Update: I have managed to install Legacy_Kernel and the machine boots up after I copied nawcom's modCD to the /Extra directory and put the legacy_kernel in the root directory - special thanks to Mushishi and nawcom for that help. Now I'm stuck with 1024x768 resolution.

I need to get it into the better resolutions.
