Defected87
Hi, Just recently set up my first hackintosh. My pc has a GTX 460 inside, so I used the tonymac nvidiaupdate (v2.0.0) to install the gpu. My display is a Toshiba Regza 37" 1080p LCD TV. After I installed the driver, I can select the resolution as 1080p, but it doesn't fill the screen properly. I played around with the overscan feature on OSX but it doesn't seem to work as the picture becomes too large, with the desktop disappearing "off screen". I thought my TV may be the problem, so I tried to play around with some of the processing modes, including "exact", "native", "wide" and a few others but none of these seem to work either. Windows 7 works correctly with 1080p and appears "natively" on the display which is leading me to think that there is something wrong with the drivers instead. Anyone else experienced this or advise if possible? Cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/258296-resolution-problem-with-tv/ Share on other sites
Defected87
EDIT: Sorted, had to set to "overscan" in the display settings, then set the TV to "exact scan" or "native scan mode".
