Wackintosh
I am trying to install mac on a desktop and I keep getting kernel panics with 10.5 and 10.6. I was trying to install iATKOS. I tried deselecting drivers and always end up with kernel panics. This is very strange since I can install 10.6 on my laptop with lower specs. The desktop specs are: Evga nforce 680i sli motherboard Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 Ghz 4 gig DDR2 ram (1gb x 4) 2 of Nvidia GeForce 7900 video cards There is no selection for AHCI in the bios. I can provide the kernel panic images if that will help. Does anyone know what I have to do in order to successfully install mac with my specs? Set up your BIOS correctly according to my BIOS template for 680i downloadable from post #1 of my nForce Pre-Series 7 topic here....and for Snow Leopard, see my Retail OS X Install Guide here......... Wackintosh
Thanks for these. I got it working with a different distribution disc. I will also be trying the retail version very soon so the guide will be helpful.
