totokan Posted August 23, 2006 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Ok, I've installed 10.4.6 (JaS' release). I turned on the PC and ran the HD it's installed on (it's a PATA/IDE one, primary slave since I only have one IDE and I need the DVD). It boots, but goes to a useless blue screen with my mouse on it. This is directly after setting my country and my keyboard layout (US, American) and my TCP/IP settings. The only thing going on now is the fact that the dvd drive's access light is on and I can't eject the disc. *The light just went off... as I was writing this* The cpu use light is off, and nothing is going on. Now, how do I install this? http://www.pinxue.net/mac/viarhine.html I have the files on the HD, but the terminal tells me the .kext is a folder... Ok, I need to logon as root? how do I do that?
