night_mare007
Hey... I have i7 720QM (1.6Mhz) on my Laptop and i'm using chameleon v2 RC5 When I load 10.5.6 boot cd - and load CPU-x - I can see that my CPU multiplier is correctly posting "x12" and "133 Mhz" bus speed as well correctly. When I load my installed SL 10.6.7 and run CPU-X I get "x1" Multiplier And "1075 Mhz" Bus speed ( Core speed 1600Mhz in both ). My CPU is for sure 133Mhz on x12 Multipler. @ boot.plist I use "CPUS=4 BUSRATIO=12" under 64bit. it doesn't matter if I boot with or without them on 32 or 64bit... Please help me to restore the correct CPU Values... Every time I boot I see those white verbos line - hoping it won't be the pray that maybe I should have take. Time2Retire
Bus speed should be 133 MHz FSB: 533 MHz (4 x 133MHz aka quad pumped) Cores: 4 Threads: 8 (with hyperthreading) A good boot loader should also se(lec)t: cpu-type: 0x601 for you and you should not need: CPUS=4 BUSRATIO=12 http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=43122 Time to try a different bootloader Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/255324-is-my-cpu-in-danger/#findComment-1673457 Share on other sites
night_mare007
Nope - it's NOT the problem... Tried different bootloader, different version, rev, etc... on 32bit and on 64bit... with and without CPUS=4 or BUSRATIO=12.... nothing changed.
