nullkuhl Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 My Envy 15 Configuration: - Intel® Core i7-720QM Quad Core processor - 4GB DDR3 RAM - 320GB 7200RPM SATA HDD - 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5830 Graphics - Chipset: --MotherBoard chipset : Intel Ibex Peak-M PM55, Intel Lynnfield --Intel 82801HBM ICH8M - Sata Raid Controller --Intel ICH8m-e ICH9m-e 5 series sata raid controller I tried to boot using nawcom's Modcd, and also tried ModUSB, with a retail osx disk 10.6.3, am always stuck at "still waiting for rooot device", i also tried booting with various flags (-v -x busratio=12 PCIRootUID=1 maxmem=2048), but non worked. Please Help ! Solved ! The usb was plugged into a usb3.0 port, when i tried the usb2.0/esata port it booted and installed.
