frandan Posted April 9, 2011 Share Posted April 9, 2011 Hi to everyone, i had M/B p7p55d with i5 750 cpu, Graphic card Radeon 5870 1gb, audigy soundcard and snow leopard was running fine with kabyl booter. Some days ago, i changed my mobo with a p8p67pro and my cpu with a i5 2500k one and now i am trying to recover my osx without a new installation. I downloaded the Andy boot iso, but when i tried to boot the system hanged on apple logo. So i removed all the .kext from extra folder and after a new reboot the system seems to work ( i can hear a classical apple sound when i push some buttons on the keyboard and the system is running) but the video is always with the apple (or with text if a start in verbose mode) and i can't see the desktop. Can i fix this problem or i have to make a clear installation of snow leopard? Thanks in advance and excuse me for my poor english. frandan Posted April 9, 2011 Author Share Posted April 9, 2011 Some news: i removed all the .kext from the directory extension inherent Ati . i rebooted from andy boot cd and i saw the desktop. i installed the p8p67 package, rebooted from hard disk, the system started but the monitor turned off.
