OK, so I've installed using JaS 10.4.6 or whatever it is called. I installed VIA chipset drivers, and SSE3 support, as well as 10.4.6 upgrade for Intel CPU's. I boot. It works, tells me set up language and such. Then I get to a blue screen. Wiki says it's cause I'm using external drive. I move drive to internal. Now, it just stays on the screen with an apple logo... Help?

When you boot, you first get a black screen followed by the grey apple screen with the rotating icon.

Boot and as soon as the screen turns black, start tapping the F8 key, quickly and repeatedly, until you get a command prompt.

Enter -v at the prompt, hit Enter and then watch for errors prior to and at the freeze.

Ok, thanks. I'll try right now. It says about 3 times onw, USBF: (differing numbers, xx.XXX or xxx.XXX) AppleUSBUHCI[0x21d2000]::Found a transaction which hasn't moved in 5 seconds on bus 48, timing out!

It keeps repeating this with the numbers increasing...

EDIT: It totally stopped under USBF: 451. 89 [0x228bd00] The IUSBGamily was not able to enumerate a device.

The spacing is approximate. Also, this is on it's own PATA HD, not dual boot.

hmm... I think I'll repartition the HD to 10GB (MacOsX) FAT32 and 180GB (File_Stor) FAT32. The titles pretty much say what they do. First, I'm going to try removing all USB devices before boot...

EDIT: Wow! It booted almost instantly after removing USB devices and restarting... Now maybe it's legacy mode?

EDIT2: Damn! It does the same thing, a blank blue screen with my mouse on it! No 'beach ball' loading symbol, CPU work light is off, it's just NOTHING........

EDIT3: Can I install OsX on a HD on the secondary connection of a IDE cable?
