MacBook Pro Display mod possible

Hi,

 

since I wondered for some time now if one could upgrade the standard MBP display with a new one capable of UWXGA (1920x1200) resolution, I now found the answer. There's a thread on the MacRumors.com forum where someone modded his PowerBook G4 with a new 15,4" Sharp display (which he had to put in a MBP case, if I got this right).

I think this is pretty interesting, in any case one should be aware of the fact that such modification voids the Apple warranty (which is pretty obvious, right?).

 

So, for those who got some extra money for a new display and don't want to stick with 1680x1050 resolution, this might be the way to go.
