I have installed osx 10.4.6 "jas" on a partition of 76Gb MAC OSX Journaled (partitioned from install utility) and with the 3 patch for my AMD cpu (10.4.6 Combo update, AMD_basesystem and AMD_SS3). But... don't boot from this partition (black screen with cursors blinking)! I have tryed to repair from utility the "permissions" but don't boot. You can help me? Thank you in advance! dynatos
Is winXP on the sata drives? Try changing your boot preferences to boot from those drives first. Once into windows, add the option to boot into OSX from the NT bootloader. (see this guide for help, and point 9 regarding the bootloader). PsYcHoK9
Thanks for the answer! I resolved this issue with Hiren's Boot CD and BootMagic... but i have found anothers two: 1) OSX start only on VMWare (and it's very slow), while on bios boot OSX load until i see an black screen with mouse (that i can move). 2) Now I load OSX from VMWare and: type mount -a and on the folder AMD_Enabler i type "sudo ./patcher cpuid_patches.txt" but don't work: cannot read references bytes from patch description file cpuid_patches.txt. what I can do!? Thank you in advance! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25281-osx-jas-1046-dont-boot/#findComment-171290 Share on other sites
