twells40
I have an HP DV7-3061nr laptop with Windows 7 running Mac OS X 10.6.6 Intel/AMD Vmware Image. Works great under Vmware workstation. However I cannot get the usb, webcam or card reader working. I was mainly concerned with the usb port. I have actually tried to get it working and was successful but once that was fixed, my touchpad mouse stopped functioning correctly. Could move it but could not click anything. Tried other kext which hosed my my image. Had to reinstall everything again. Now I am at the point where I want to get the usb working again but also have my touchpad working. Any help is appreciated. thanks twells Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/252407-mac-os-x-1066-intelamd-vmware-image/ Share on other sites
ben09880
um, set up VMWare to show all USB input devices and tell it to designate a specific mouse for the virtual machine? that's what I had to do... otherwise my mouse cursor seemed to stay in one of the four corners, jumping erratically whenever touched... Using this work around, I still have to click in the VM to get my keyboard to work, and I need to keep the mouse cursor from Windows within that window. Hope you understand, and hope it helps! Zell Dinch
Hey, I think you should try this one: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=250849 Much better than just use VMWare. ben09880
Woah! LOTS of info there! But it looks like it is ONLY for installing DIRECTLY to the machine? Maybe a good starting point for a dual boot config, though... hmmm....?
