Noah1142 Posted March 15, 2011 Share Posted March 15, 2011 I Have installed the correct kexts for my ethernet card but unfortunatly i can not create an ethernet connection and when i go into the wizard on safari the ethernet option is greyed out also in network option their is only one connection called Built in port (1) or somthing like that and i can not create a new connection?? Noah1142 Posted March 15, 2011 Author Share Posted March 15, 2011 another thing that i should have mentioned is that when i installed the OS from the ideneb CD i could not find my ethernet controller to i ticked every ethernet controller there and when i first loaded it up the only option for Network in the Network Options or something like that was: Built in Serial Port (1) and i just can not change it? Noah1142 Posted March 16, 2011 Author Share Posted March 16, 2011 MY SPECS: AMD Athlon ii x2 250 Overclocked at 3.7GHz Asus M4A78LT-M LE 2GB RAM ATI Radeon Saphire HD 5670 160GB IDE HDD (WINDOWS 7) 500GB SATA HDD (Partioned For Mac) Atheros AR8131 LAN Contoller Realtek 8185 Extensible 802.11b/g Wireless Device as for the kexts i will do a new clean install of ideneb 1.5.1 and only select the kexts suggested because when i did choose what to install in the cuztimise tab i didnt know what to select so i selected a random one - i personally have not installed any kexts Please Help I'm Kinda a Noob! I have never worked with your setup, but I would try this for your LAN. I don't think that your wireless card is supported.
