fuzzy001
Have been using this guide here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=140941 I have opted to use the first option, the LegacyHDA.kext, AppleHDA.kext, and HDAenabler.kext as I do not wish to use the DSDT method. When examining the "About this Mac..." the S/PIDF and line in/out show up fine. However, when going to Preferences-->Sound there are no input or output devices.. Could someone kindly tell me how I may fix my problem, or give me a step-by-step guide for my specific ALC889 on SL 10.6.6? Complete n00b here, any help would be appreciated.
