jbob0124
I have an Acer Aspire 110 series with 8gb of storage. I've looked around, but haven't found much on it being successful. What version of osx86 can I use to install on it? I've tried running iAtkos s3 v2 on it, but I came up close to 2 gigs over for the install. Is there another option that I can use which would have a smaller install? Using 10.6.3 Retail Disk Essential System software = 4.27 GB no languages, printers, extra fonts, QT7 or Rosetta And you could use "AppZapper" or similar to remove Applications & Utilities you don't want or need. jbob0124
In order to get it to boot and install, wouldn't I need a bootloader to get it going? The point was that even if you use a (shudder) Distro, with the right options the install is not that big. jbob0124
I've been using the nawcom bootloader to try and get it installed, but I keep having all kinds of errors. is there a bootloader/osx86 combo that is smaller then iatkos s3 v2. That version loads up great, but I dont have enough room to install it. Dellmantt
Is this the model that has 512MB RAM and an 8GB SSD? If so I would not bother. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/250840-minimal-install/#findComment-1652619 Share on other sites
jbob0124
I know it won't run well, I'm not worried about that. It's more or less just a trial and error to see if I can do it.
