I'm new here, so please don't slap me too hard around I'm working with (real) macs since over 10 years now but wanna try OSX86 now as well since my actual mac becomes kinda slow compared to intel macs and newer macs at all. I read several topics here as well as the wiki of course but would like to start a new topic, maybe it's worth to be stickyfied either. The idea or question: What is the current best motherboard & cpu & gfx card combo you can get for osx86 - most compatible with the best price-value relationship. For the gfx card it's important to get good drivers, I read about nvidia drivers for osx somewhere... Maybe this changes with the release of new versions of osx86 and of course with new mobos and cpus coming out as well. Especially interesting the the price-value thinggy because I guess when I get an expensive asus & maybe some kind of Opteron it'll provide perfect speed but this will be very expensive as well. I'm not interested in the cheapest solution with feature limits either. It should work well! ATM I own an ASRock Dual-SATAII mobo which is a bit sucky for nic and sound I read. So maybe there are nice hints and tips from you based on own experiences!
