restrainedchaos
Ok, so I had this problem with the first boot camp beta and never really dug into it cause I didn't use it much, but 1.1 just came out and includes iSight support so I'll probably be using it more. And now the fact that my bluetooth is totally unrecognized seriously bugs me, especially cause I have a bluetooth laptop mouse. I'm running a white MacBook 2.0, and a pretty standard XP Pro install through the boot camp utility. Anyhow. the mac drivers cd installs, and it installs the bluetooth radio drivers cause windows sees them if I try to pick it manually (It has the Apple Bluetooth Kicker, Apple Built-In Bluetooth, and Apple Built-In BluetoothDFU drivers available) but for some reason my bluetooth module doesn't seem to be identified. I found ONE device I could install the kicker driver on and it would load, but nothing else seems to work... Anyhow I was kinda surprised by this cause everyone's bluetooth seems to at least be recognized by the driver installer from what I've seen - they're just trying to get the widcomm stacks or whatnot to work, to get better support. I just need basic support right now though - and I'm worried my actual bluetooth controller may have been damaged or in some way defective. But since Boot Camp is beta and unsupported, I doubt apple is going to repair it based on a Boot Camp issue. Anyhow, has this been a problem with anyone else? Any idea what I should do? smashed
Remove the old "Macintosh Drivers for Windows XP" and then enable the system variable DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES to 1 and then launch device manager and turn on the hidden devices, delete all the bluetooth devices and hid devices and then rerun the Macintosh Drivers CD and you have fully functional bluetooth.
