Hi

I'm trying to install snow leopard on my HP dv6-3160 laptop with core i5 460M. I have ripped my installation disk as soon as i recieved it, to prevent the problem that I can't reinstall OS X because my disk is broken, now that has happened and I have succesfully restored my DMG-copy of my installation disk to a USB-flash-drive(8GB), and when I try to boot up with the ##### disk, I freezes after detecting that I have a Realtek RTL8xxx Ethernet-card. Then I gave it some time to see if it was continueing the loading process, but no. It tells me:

Still waiting for root device

Still waiting for root device

Still waiting for root device

Still waiting for root device

What do I do now to get my Mac OS X working?

I have another PC running SL 10.6.6, and working fine exept graphics, if this would be needed.

The installation guide I used to make this Installation USB:

The only thing I didn't do was installing and setting up the bootloader, replacing the boot-file, and copying the Extra-folder to the USB, because I tried that earlier, and then I either get a kernel panic or the PC just restarts right before I get to the apple boot screen.

How do I come to the installation screen and install OS X?

When installing from my restored USB i use this guide: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ ... -x-on.html
