Patrickxkillu
After a long day I finally manged to get my audio to work in stereo by downloading the update ac97 driver from http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...5&hl=alc655. Then I unzipped it to the desktop and changed chrisaw's suggested code slightly into this: sudo -s cd /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAC97AudioVIA.kext/Contents/MacOS mv AppleAC97AudioVIA /root mv /Users/YOUR USERNAME/Desktop/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAC97AudioVIA.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleAC97AudioVIA /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAC97AudioVIA.kext/Contents/MacOS chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext Then just exit terminal and reboot Hope that works for ya Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/24442-realtek-ac97-working/ Share on other sites
