superfunk1
I am looking for a solution how to completely activate QE/CI with GL and all resolution on the Nvidia 8400 GS under Snow Leopard. I have tried almost everything I can think of and I think I have found here in the forums. But still all I get is only one resolution which can be changed thru chameleon only and the monitors aren`t recognised. What am I am doing wrong. Anybody else got this system and running? If so I would very much apreciate the information on how you did it. As said I tried all kind of installation routines as well as all kind of Snow Leopard versions beginning from 10.6.3 over to 10.6.4 to 10.6.5 and finally 10.6.6. I also tried EFI strings, Chameleon boot file, with and without DSDT, Injection and without injection, S/L/E kext changing, tonymac nvidia update, and all kind of different boot disks and installers. I read in the osx86 wiki that everything should work fine with the Geforce 8400 GS and 512 MB so I really do not understand what I am overlooking or not doing right. Any help is very much appreciated. thank you Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244244-8400-gs-512mb-with-ga-p35-ds3-and-snow-leo-1066-problem-qe-ci-and-dual-monitor/ Share on other sites
sleepyhollos
Hey friend. Did you ever manage to get this one working? I have a similar system working almost and can direct you to how I did it. I'm just trying to get dual screen support over two vga screens using adapters (not sure if this is possible) but giving it a shot Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244244-8400-gs-512mb-with-ga-p35-ds3-and-snow-leo-1066-problem-qe-ci-and-dual-monitor/#findComment-1741545 Share on other sites
