First time making a guide but i'll give it a shot

quick note -- I sold my imac for this thing (i wanted more power and despite how prettyful this thing was there's no way i could put a new graphics card in there so after a lot of reading i went for a hackintosh and i'm proud to say i'm extremely happy with the decision-- o.k onto the guide

hack specs

gigabyte ga-h55m-s2v-mobo

evga nvidia gts250- graphics card

intel i5-650- processor

1tb 5400 rpm (this is my storage drive)

500 gb 7200 rpm (250gb for win and 250gb for mac)

4gb of ram

Logisys Exotic Ruby Red Case

tenda w311u- wifi

logitech z313- speakers

usb mouse and keyboard

yamaha kx49 midi keyboard

and to power this bad baby a 300 watt psu (i really need to get a new psu)

alrighty, so to start the install i used the ##### cd from

http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ibo...ac-os-x-on.html ( grab ##### while you're here)

and a retail copy of snow leopard (didn't need any busratio's with my setup)

Partitioned the 500gb hard drive with the guid partition table and formatted one as Mac Os X Journaled (named it snowy)

and the other as fat 32 (you can leave this as untitled for now)

after done formatting/partitioning my main drive it was now time to install snow leopard

so i just clicked continue and installed snow leopard to to snowy (or whatever you named your drive)

and let it do it's thang.

--after installation--

installed 10.6.5 update didn't restart instead opened ##### and installed the dsdt and nvidiaenabler. about the sound, i'm not sure if they really did fix it or not with the latest ##### but i found a fix which i'll upload and no it's not voodoohda.

alright after all that stuff is done you're ready to restart you're build and it should have sound and everything else

didn't really go into installing the wifi adapter cuz the driver's right there on the tenda site

o.k so i guess i've got the basics umm family guy or cleaveland show should be on now so i'm gonna go

just ask away on the questions i'll try to answer them as best i can

okay did what you were talking about with the sound, but still not working.

when you did your initial install after you ran the 10.6.5 update, what options did you select in #####? did you use the DSDT file for your mobo during the install? if so did you put it on your desktop and rename it DSDT.AML?

sorry i'm new at this stuff and the only thing i'm missing is the sound. i have been trying for about a week to get it working

hey,

no you don't have to rename the dsdt just put it on the desktop and intall thru #####

strange about the audio i'll have to look into that. In the mean time have you tried the audio solution in ##### 3.0 yet? they combined all the alc8xxx files into one
