mamleader
I did the update following this instruction exactly posted in Hazard Forums 1. First thing you have to do is Disable Sleep in System Preferences, Click the Yellow light bulb, Move both sliders all the way to the right and Un-Check the two tick boxes. 2. Goto /System/Library/Extensions and delete the SleepEnabler.kext 3. Repair Permissions using the Disk Utility in the Application/Utilities folder. 4. Goto /System/Library and delete the Extensions.kextcache file at the bottom. 5. Next delete all the stuff inside the /Library/Caches folder and /System/Library/Caches folder 6. Reboot, Now you should be ready to apply the 10.6.5 Combo Update 7. apply the patched kernel I used two http://www.kexts.com/view/626-10.6.5_legacy_kernel_10.5.0_[32-64bit].html http://www.kexts.com/view/671-10.6.5_legac...2_32+64bit.html what I got after that is ablack screen I can hear sounds of the apps opening like skype while the screen is black so I tried changing the cables of my monitor and no thing I thought maybe the update did some thing with the screen resolution that my lcd can't read so I went to /library/Preferences/ and deleted com.apple.windowserver.plist and still the same .it was working before i did the update my gfc -> ati hd 4670 1 gb ... was working full supported and was doing gaming just fine TIA Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/242012-black-screen-after-updating-from-1062-1065/ Share on other sites
