System Model Studio XPS 8100 System Type x64-based PC Processor Intel® Core i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz, 2801 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) BIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. A04, 5/10/2010 Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB I am currently using 10.5.7 Iatkos. As soon as I try to boot from Darwin - gray screen with apple appears for a sec and reboots again. @ BIOS -I have disabled hyperthreading, enabled virtualization, lowered CPUS to 1, and changed AHCI to RAID. Am I missing something? Should I try a different version of OSX86 Install? Please Help. richardmacx
you need to use ##### and only 4GB RAM installed. After successfully installed and boot, then you can add the other 4GB to your mainboard. Also make sure bios is set SATA mode to RAID (not ATA). no need for disable HT, or change multiCPU supports. go here for further instruction: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=12825 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/241725-dell-xps-studio-8100-help/#findComment-1667884 Share on other sites
