Hi all, i started to to try and install mac osx"Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_AMD_by_Hazard" on my Dell studio 1558 i3 6gigram laptop and when I boot from dvd with no -v commands it will reeboot all the time. When I use -v busratio=20 it starts loading and then freezes. I get a screen full of text and jotted down a few (what I think seem relevant) lines.

Mac framework successfully initialized

Usbf. 0.770 check sleep capability controller will be unloaded

and stops there.

any help to proceed with my install will be very appreciated.

Update. I managed to install iatkos s3 ver2 by hitting F8 and typing -v cpus=1 busratio=20.

I installed it on a usb drive and partionned it with 100gig and 900gig with mbr and loaded on the 100 gig partition. when it reebooted I saw the apple logo briefly then it restarted.

I'm not sure quite what I should do. thanks for any help.

Update

I successfully installed osx86 using ##### and osx retail, now I can't seem to update to 10.6.4 it crashes just before the und of the update and then when I reboot it hangs at the apple logo regardless what command i give it(-v -f -x....) So I reinstall and start over again.

Second issue is I can't get my wifi to work, can't see it and i can't seem to find what I need to fix it. i tried the bcm43xx_enabler.sh with no success and I don't really know what a kext file is let alone use one.

specs:

Dell studio 1558

i3 330m 2.13 ghz

6 gig ram 4+2

intel graphics

15.6 1366x768

dell 1520 wireless-n (broadcom bcm43224)

Thanks for any help.
