If i keep the CD or DVD into the drive and start the mac then mac does read the cd/dvd. But if i try to insert the cd/dvd after starting the mac. It does not take the cd/dvd. no matter how hard i push the cd/dvd into the slot. it keep pushing back. How can I fix this problem. tiksa1985 Posted April 18, 2011 Share Posted April 18, 2011 I have the same configuration as yours and having the same problem, my internal slot load dvd drive is not recognized in SL 10.6.6. I have tried many kexts IOATA Family AppleIntelPIIXATA but none of them worked. Can anybody help to provide a solution?
