real_world
Hi there, I need a bit of advice on my Hackintosh setup. I've done a bit of research and put down a list of potential hardware, but seeing as I'm really a complete n00b when it comes to this, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. The main things I'm having problems with are listed below. From what I've read, the motherboard and processor should be ok, but what's really confusing me are the graphics card and DVD/CD drive - if they will run on a Hackintosh (is blu-ray even supported at this stage?). I've read a bit on this forum about the 460, and it looks promising, but any 'official' confimation on the ASUS would be very welcome. If someone could give me any advice about this, that would be great. I haven't bought anything yet - don't want to spend the money until I'm at least somewhat convinced that I'll be able to run my beloved OS on this hardware. Thanks for your time Motherboard: ASUS P6TD Deluxe Processor: Intel Core i7 950 Processor LGA1366 3.06GHz Graphics Card: ASUS GeForce GTX 460 Direct CU 1GB (Link) DVD/CD drive: Samsung SH-B123A 12X Blu-ray DVD Combo Drive (Link) Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/241554-hardware-advice/ Share on other sites
