e1s Posted August 9, 2006 Share Posted August 9, 2006 Hey guys, i've used the jas dvd trying to install osx and this tutorial my computer: cpu: amd64 754sockel 3000+ sse2 only mobo: shuttle an50r nforce3 gpu: nv 6800 gt hdds: 40gb raptor sata 2x 120gb ata 1x 300gb usb 1x 80gb under my bed, not connected i've read about a few problems with sata but the wiki says the nforce3 ones are supported. therefore i want to install osx on the raptor. first time i booted normaly. Rammjet Posted August 9, 2006 Share Posted August 9, 2006 The "SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed" happens when there is a problem with the DVD or DVD reader not feeding data properly. Try burning the DVD at the slowest speed and if you have different brand media, try that. If it persists, maybe you can borrow another DVD reader for the installation.
