Boot into single user mode, by pressing -s, at the prompt.

No Quotes either.

Then, "/sbin/fsck -fy"

Then "/sbin/mount -uw /"

Then "passwd (ENTER USERNAME HERE) No Parenthesis."

Enter your password.

Enter it again.

Type "reboot".

Don't think he knows the "user name"

to find user accounts and reset password on those accounts without having to create another account. fifth link down in above search.

Make sure you type the commands EXACTLY - including the spaces.

I was going to test.it, BUT you are quite capable. I am sure that a search like this will sort it out http://www.google.com.au/#hl=en&biw=11...71d041fc8b68b36

;)

Boot with -s flag

At the prompt type:

mount -uw / <enter>

rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone <enter>

reboot <enter>

After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can simply delete the old one and you’re good to go again!
