Hello,

I'm trying to install mac OS X Snow Leopard on my PC. I've only one hard drive on this pc, and it is allready partioned :

25 GB for Windows Seven

100 GB for datas

25 GB to install Snow Leopard

I'm able to install Snow Leopard but I can't choose my partition to install it. I would like to know how to install Snow Leopard on the third partition. Have I to partition my disk again, or can I keep my partitions and choose the third to install OS X ?

thanks a lot

:)

Hi , you can keep your partition table, you WILL have to format the snow leopard partition, unless its an upgrade from leopard (and it isnt?)

so, what you want to do is boot up your instalation, and opet the Disk Utility Tool. You ca find it in the top bar (with the little apple logo) once entered the instalation. When you have opened disk util, you find your snow leo partition, on the left, and than format it. One thing you must do, is set the Format file system to: Extended Journaling.

once done that, you should be able to see the new partition in the install window.

Good luck, and yell if you need adny more help.

So, the only thing you need to do, is format Snow leopard Parititon to a different File System, by using Disk Utility tool inside installer disk.

Hello, no problem to open the disk utility and to format my partition in the os x format file. I've understood why I was not be able to choose my partition (the partition was format like you said). Snow leo installation wanted me to make a GUID Partition Table because my disk used MBR. So, I have found how to fix this problem by replacing a file in the installation disk (a usb stick). Now, I can install Snow Leopard, but I think that I will format my hard drive in GPT.

Thanks for your help ;)
