Tim Harris
Computer specs: GA-MA790GPT-UD3H Amd phenom II x4 500gb Sata (partitioned 300gb win7, 200gb for osx) Radeon hd 5750 4gb ddr3 Ran system info and got all green and smilies. I have my computer set up with only one sata harddrive plugged into Sata 0, and one DVDrw drive plugged in IDE. My first attempt (without the -x) was booting up chameleon on the iAtkos s3 v2 dvd and running with: -v -x cpus=1 maxmem=2048 after failing, I tried the -x flag and both times I got the message "Still waiting for root device" I looked around a bit and tried mentioning the root device using: rd=dis0s1 -v -x cpus=1 maxmem=2048 Again, with and without the -x flag. Same results. Then I tried setting the sata controller to AHCI, and retried the above. Each time I got the same message "waiting for root device." What am I missing? Edit: I have also tried using a retail install method with kakewalk and that also failed. Edit 2: Couldn't get Empire 1.085 for amd to even load.
