bbutzemann
Hi! I just finished building my first Hackintosh (SL 10.6.5 using ##### and #####) and pretty much everything works perfectly...except for my Phonic Firefly 302+ Audio Interface... THe interface is detected, but in Audio and MIDI Setup all the volume sliders are greyed out. I've conneccted my speakers via SPDIF, but when I go to Configure Speakers all I get is 2.1. Also, when I test the speakers I get sound but everything else is silent (iTunes, System sounds etc...). Headphone output works fine though... I installed AppleHDA.kext and HDAEnabler.kext using Kext Helper. Any Ideas on how to get it to work? I found no Drivers on the Phonic website, only this FF302_software_Mac.zip, but that didn't help either. My Setup: Mainboard: ASUS P7P55D Deluxe CPU: Intel Core i7 2.8MHz RAM: 8GB DDR3 GPU: NV GTX275 Thanks! witwh
Hi! Just Joined In the link you gave, download HB12Plus_FF302USB_Mac.zip and unzip it, find the HB12Plus_FF302USB_Mac/OSX10.4_OSX10.5/driver_files/release folder, and then put the 3 files (PHONIC_FireFlyUSB_CUSTOM_EXT.kext;PHONIC_FireFlyUSB.plugin;PHONIC_FireFlyUSB.kext) into the Other folder of EFI. This driver works fain in Catalina 10.15.7, but it does not work in Big Sur.This may be the reason why BIg Sur only supports 64-bit.
