morgala
Ok so this is getting a little frustrating now. I have read a lot and tried a lot but had no luck. When I try and install my usb mouse is not recognized and neither is my track-pad. I have an Asus N53J lapptop with an i5 460m and Nvidia GT 425M. I am using the latest ##### with chameleon 2.0 RC5 So far this is what I have tried: BIOS USB legacy Enabled/Disabled Track-pad Enabled/Disabled Chameleon boot flags -x USBBusFix=Yes GUI=No (was hoping for no GUI so I could manually initialize HDD) The problem is that without a mouse I can't run the disk utilities to format the drive to continue with the install. I am guessing that I need some extra Kext's installed but without access to a shell (remember GUI=No didn't work) then I am screwed. I could not find a way to add kext's from the chameleon boot flags. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was successful getting it up and running with osx86 except my video resolution is 1024x726. Here's how I did it. 1. Boot with tonymac's ##### 2. Swap DVD with iATKOS s3 v2 and press F5 to recognize DVD 3. Install with the following: - Bootloader: AsereBLN v1.1.9 - Bootloader Options: pc-1, Ethernet, USB - Patches /Extra directory, fakesmc, Disabler, RTC - Bootloader Options: Modified Kernels: qoopz 10.3.0 - Drivers: Main Hardware: SATA/IDE: AHCI SATA - Drivers: Sound - Drivers: PS/2 - Drivers: CPU Power Management - Drivers: Laptop Hardware - Drivers NTFS-3G - Network When booting from HD, I user the following boot options: busratio=20 cpus=1. I user a Targus, wireless mouse and it works just fine. Now, I just have to get my osx86 working with the correct kext for the NVidia 425M and I'm all set. Good luck! - cdelatorrejr Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/239271-no-mouse-or-trackpad-working-asus-n53j-laptop/#findComment-1618105 Share on other sites

Use nowcom boot cd for direct touchpad support. or try with a different usb mouse (worked with a BT Logitech mouse for me) Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/239271-no-mouse-or-trackpad-working-asus-n53j-laptop/#findComment-1634641 Share on other sites
