adamh23
Hi guys, Ive been following this and many other forums similar to this for around 3 or 4 months in an attempt to turn my Toshiba A665-s6065 into a hackintosh. Its been tough and Im about at my wits end especially given the most recent circumstances. Hardware: I've got a Toshiba Satellite A665-s6065 with an Intel i7 720QM at 1.6 ghz. Its got 4 GB of Kingston DDR3 RAM and a 1 GB nVidia GeForce GT 330M graphics card. The motherboard is a Toshiba NWQAA HM55 and the hard drive I'm installing to (purchased separately) is a 120 GB Seagate Momentus 5400.4. Issue: After the installation, I was able to boot into OSX (10.6.2) with ##### and ran the 10.6.4 Update and ##### with a modified DSDT. The hard drive wouldn't boot up on its own, but i could still boot into OSX (now 10.6.4) with #####. I turned my computer off and planned to come back to it soon but when I had, my BIOS wouldn't even recognize my HDD. And even worse, I couldn't boot from a CD with the HDD in. I tried mulitple times, even hotswapping. This left me stuck. I managed to connect the drive via USB and reformat it but still, my BIOS wouldn't recognize it. I've tried everything I can think of and Im out of options. Does anyone have any insight or anything at all or has heard of this ever? Im totally sunk right now. Thanks guys Adam Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/236686-post-install-hard-drive-failure/ Share on other sites
